Former Ghana Skipper Stephen Appiah donates to victims of flood in the Volta Region

Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, has donated to the victims of the floods caused by the Akosombo Dam Spilage in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The former Juventus star did this donation on Wednesday together with Wembley Construction, with th donations received my North Tong Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The items seen in pictures included mattresses and food products.

The floods that have been ongoing for weeks now have displaced thousands of people in the Volta Region and behind.

The NDC politician took to social media to thank Stephen Appiah for his generosity, describing him as more than a footballer.

“The legendary Stephen ‘Tornado’ Appiah is not only blessed with exceptionally talented feet; more importantly, he is an amazing human being with an awesome heart.

“Thank you El Capitano, Wembley Construction & Nathaniel Attoh.

“North Tongu will never forget your kindness.”

The Akosombo Dam Spillage Flood is a flood that occurred in the south-eastern part of Ghana. This is due to a controlled spillage of the Akosombo Dam and the Kpong Dam by the Volta River Authority to address rising water levels.
