The Presidential Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that five aspirants have successfully filed their nomination forms to contest in the Party’s upcoming presidential primary.
In a statement issued on Thursday, August 28, 2025, the Committee announced that the following individuals have submitted their completed forms:
- Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
- Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
- Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
- H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
- Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
The statement recalled that nominations were officially opened on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, following a directive by the National Council through the General Secretary.
According to the Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, Mr. William Yamoah, the Party remains committed to ensuring a transparent, credible, and fair process in line with the NPP Constitution and Regulations.
The presidential primary is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, when delegates across the country will elect the Party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
