Tamale-based music star, Fancy Gadam, has postponed his much-anticipated birthday celebration originally scheduled for August 16, 2025, in Tamale.
In a statement released by his management, the decision was made in light of the recent tragic helicopter accident in Ghana, which claimed the lives of eight prominent individuals, including the Honourable Member of Parliament for Tamale Central.
“This loss has deeply affected us all. Out of respect for the grieving families and in solidarity with the entire nation, all celebratory activities will be put on hold until further notice,” the statement read.

The management extended its “heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the departed,” adding, “May their souls rest in perfect peace.”
The fatal helicopter crash, which occurred last week, has plunged the nation into mourning, with tributes pouring in from across the political, cultural, and entertainment spheres.
