Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle Constituency, has pledged to team up with the Ministry of Roads and Highways to put the road network in cocoa-growing areas in the constituency in good shape.
He noted that the deplorable nature of roads in those farming communities affected the economic life of the people which required urgent attention.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah who is also the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, said this during the first leg of a “Thank You Tour” of the Constituency.

Communities he visited were Asasetre, Nvuma, Tandan, Ebi, Ayawora Adubrim and Mpeasem.
It would be recalled that in 2020, former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo performed a sod cutting ceremony at Teleku Bokazo for construction works on the Asasetre to Aiyinasi stretch but not even a single kilometer of it could be asphalted.
The deplorable nature of the road has forced many motorists to withdraw their services on that stretch leaving only okada motor riders and pyragea drivers to charge exorbitant fares from commuters.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah noted that the poor road network was claiming many lives making life unbearable for the people especially expectant mothers.
He assured people in the constituency that his office would do everything possible to ensure that the Teleku-Bokazo to Simpa Junction Road network was asphalted to ease the burden of traveling through Esiama to Apemenim junction before going to Tarkwa.
The MP used the occasion to thank the chiefs and people of those communities for their massive support to return the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by President John Dramani Mahama in the December 2024 general elections.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah appealed to the chiefs and people to foster unity and count on him and the government to remain accountable and bring more development to the area.
The Chiefs in the communities visited thanked the MP for the visit and used the occasion to extend their gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the honour by appointing him as Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
The Chiefs also conveyed their sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families of the August 8 helicopter crash victims.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah who was accompanied by NDC Constituency Executives in Ellembelle, is expected to continue with the Thank You Tour to other communities in the constituency.
