Kojo Frempong urges NPP 2028 aspirants to prioritize party unity

Police Probes Alleged Assault on Alhaji Masawudu at Akwatia

The Akwatia District Police Command has launched investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman, which reportedly occurred at Akwatia on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. According to the police, the complainant was issued with a medical form and directed to seek treatment at a hospital. The endorsed medical form is expected to be returned to the police to aid ongoing investigations. The case has since been referred to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for further probe. The Office of the President has announced new measures governing Ghana’s participation in the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. According to a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, the directive—issued by the Chief of Staff—follows President John Dramani Mahama’s recent Cabinet pronouncement on international engagements and official travel.
