The Eastern Regional Police Command has announced extensive security arrangements to ensure peace, safety, and order throughout this year’s Odwira Festival celebrations in Akropong, organized by the Chiefs and people of Akwapim. The Mortuaries and Funeral Facilities Agency (MoFFA) has issued a directive to all mortuaries and funeral facilities operating without the required licenses to take immediate steps to regularize their operations within one week from the date of the announcement. The Agency, which was established under Part Two of the Health Institutions and Facilities Act, 2011 (Act 829), is mandated to license, control, and regulate all facilities connected with the storage, transportation, and disposal of human remains in Ghana.
