The Asanteman Council will hold a crucial meeting at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
A formal notice issued by the Registrar of the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC), Kwame Adusei Agyemang, indicated that the gathering has been convened at the direction of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The statement stressed that attendance is mandatory for all expected participants, including members of the Asanteman Council, divisional heads of the KTC, and other relevant parties.

Though the specific agenda for the meeting has not been disclosed, the invitation’s emphasis on full participation suggests the discussions will be of significant importance to the Asanteman traditional leadership.
Copies of the notice have also been sent to the Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace and the Registrar of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs (ARHC).
The Manhyia Palace remains the historic seat of the Ashanti Kingdom, serving as the venue for key decisions affecting both the traditional council and the wider Asanteman community.
