Afenyo-Markin Commissions R. C. Ekem Library & ICT Centre in Winneba

The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency and Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has commissioned the R. C. Ekem Library & ICT Centre, a modern learning facility located at Lowcost in Winneba.

The newly inaugurated centre is designed to serve as a hub for learning, research, and community engagement, with a strong focus on promoting knowledge and skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It provides a welcoming and conducive environment for students, researchers, and community members to access educational resources and digital tools.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Afenyo-Markin highlighted the importance of investing in education and digital literacy as key drivers of development, particularly for young people. He noted that the facility would help bridge the digital divide and empower residents of Winneba and surrounding communities with the skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven world.

The R. C. Ekem Library & ICT Centre is expected to play a critical role in supporting academic excellence, encouraging lifelong learning, and fostering innovation within the Effutu Municipality.

Community members and stakeholders present at the event welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will enhance access to knowledge and strengthen educational outcomes in the area.
