Organisers of the popular BHIM Festival have announced a change in the date for this year’s edition of the event. The 10th edition of the festival, initially scheduled for December 26, 2025, will now take place on December 24, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to a statement released by Burniton Music Group (BMG) and the BHIM Festival Secretariat, all other event details, including the venue and time, remain unchanged. Tickets purchased for the previous date will remain valid and can be retrieved at the various redemption centres at the venue.
The organisers explained that the decision to move the date was made out of respect for patrons and in line with their commitment to ensuring an exceptional customer experience, especially regarding security, crowd safety, traffic management, parking, and coordination with public safety agencies.

The statement noted that the date change became necessary following an update to the schedule of the Black Star Experience’s “Taste the Culture” event, which was rescheduled to December 29, 2025, at a venue located near the Accra Sports Stadium.
“Given that the revised date clashed with ours and the event’s venue is right behind the Accra Sports Stadium, we immediately commenced behind-the-scenes discussions for the organisers to revert to their publicly known date in the interest of public safety and client satisfaction,” the statement explained.
The BHIM Festival team said that although their request for the other organisers to reconsider was declined, they decided to adjust their own event date “in the best interest and safety of patrons,” despite the significant financial implications.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to the Ghana Tourism Authority for its support and assistance in securing the Accra Sports Stadium for the new date, describing the decision as one made to promote harmony within the “December in GH” events calendar.
“We believe our decision demonstrates our commitment to ensuring harmony within the national December in GH events calendar, and we hope that going forward, other governmental agencies operating within the creative industry will support rather than compete with Ghanaian creatives,” the statement added.
BMG and the BHIM Festival Secretariat also apologised to fans for any inconvenience caused and assured them of another exciting and world-class celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the BHIM Festival.
Fans are encouraged to follow the festival’s official social media handles for updates and announcements ahead of the event.
