The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals for allegedly impersonating officials of the Ghana Gold Board Taskforce and engaging in acts of extortion.
The suspects, identified as 40-year-old Foster Delord and 38-year-old Prince Worvi, reportedly claimed to be former military personnel and had been making rounds at the premises of various gold dealers, posing as operatives of the Gold Board Taskforce.
Their arrest followed a formal complaint lodged with the police, prompting swift investigations that led to their capture.

Items retrieved from the suspects include:
- One pair of handcuffs
- One canister of pepper spray
- One electric shocker
- One set of uniform
- A cash amount of GHS 500
The two have since been arraigned before the Tarkwa Circuit Court and remanded into police custody as investigations continue.
The Western Central Regional Police Command is urging the public, especially individuals and businesses in the gold trade, to remain vigilant and demand proper identification from anyone claiming to represent a government agency.
