The Chiefs and people of Affutuakwa Traditional Area have launched the 2025 Tutukese Afahye at a colourful ceremony at Assin Fosu in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region.
This year’s festival which would start from Friday, December 12, to Monday, 22, is on the theme: “Unity in Diversity Reconciling Affutuakwaman for Development.”
Speaking at the launch, Okumanini Baffour Asare Kyeahene II, Paramount Chief of Affutuakwa Traditional Area, noted that, the festival was put on hold for so many years and the re-launch was to mark a significant cultural milestone, symbolising a return to tradition and unity among the people.

Various activities lined up include a quiz competition, traditional games, beauty pageant, a grand durbar of chiefs and many others.
He urged corporate organisations to support the development of the town through sponsorship as well as identify investment opportunities available to invest in.
He urged all residents home and in the diaspora to come in their numbers to make this year’s festival a memorable one.
