Traders Advocacy Group Ghana Mourns Victims of August 6 Helicopter Crash

The Traders Advocacy Group Ghana (TAGG) has joined the nation in mourning the victims of Wednesday’s tragic helicopter crash, which claimed the lives of prominent government ministers and dedicated military officers.

In a statement signed by TAGG President Kwadwo Amoateng and other national executives, the group expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, and the people of Ghana, describing the incident as “one of the most devastating tragedies in the history of our nation.”

“This heartbreaking incident has plunged our country into deep mourning. As a nation, we have witnessed horror, and we collectively pray that such a calamity never befalls our country again,” the statement read.

TAGG called for unity among Ghanaians—Christians and Muslims alike—in offering prayers for the souls of the departed and for strength and comfort for the grieving families. The group also urged the government to conduct a full and transparent investigation into the accident to ensure accountability and prevent similar tragedies in the future.

“Ghana has lost great leaders—men of service, vision, and dedication. They will be forever remembered in our hearts and in the history of our beloved nation,” the statement added.

The August 6 crash has drawn widespread grief across the country, with various organisations, leaders, and citizens paying tribute to the victims whose service and commitment left an enduring mark on the nation.
