Ghanaian international and former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail following an appearance at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.
Partey faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, involving allegations from three different women related to incidents that reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2022.
During his court appearance, Partey confirmed his identity and acknowledged the bail conditions set by the court. His legal team continues to deny all charges, firmly maintaining his innocence.

As part of his bail conditions, the 31-year-old is prohibited from contacting any of the three women involved in the case. Additionally, he is required to inform the police of any permanent change in address or international travel plans.
Importantly, the bail conditions do not restrict Partey from continuing his professional football career, either in the UK or abroad, while the legal proceedings continue.
The midfielder is scheduled to appear again in court on September 2, 2025, at the Old Bailey, one of the UK’s most prominent criminal courts.
Partey recently secured a move to La Liga side Villarreal CF and is expected to be officially unveiled by the Spanish club in the coming days.
