Police Commander urges youth to leverage Whistleblower Act, contributes to corrupt fight 

Superintendent George Kwakye, the Wenchi District Police Commander in the Bono Region has urged the youth to leverage the WhistleBlower Act to contribute to the nationwide fight against corruption.  He said the youth ought to report the alleged misconduct and corrupt practices of public officials to give meaning to provisions in the Act 720, enacted to protect informants, and thereby encourage them to contribute their quota towards fighting corruption.  Supt. WASCAL Urges Youth Inclusion in Climate Action Initiatives

The West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) has called for the active inclusion of youth in climate initiatives to drive innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Professor Benjamin Kofi Nyarko of the Geography and Regional Planning Department, University of Cape Coast (UCC), made the appeal at the launch of Climate Change Action Now (CCAN), a climate advocacy initiative by WASCAL. Tema Traditional Council advises youth against drug abuse 

The people of Tema in the Greater Accra Region, have celebrated their annual Kplejoo festival, with a call on the youth to desist from abusing drugs and engaging in immoral activities.  Nii Adjetey Agbo II, the Mankralo (Chief) and Acting President of the Tema Traditional Council, who gave the advice, said they had written to the various clan houses to continually engage and educate their youth on drug abuse, as it could have dire consequences on their lives.  Nii Agbo said, the council realised that most of the youth abusing drugs in the area were not indigenes and therefore did not attend the weekly clan house meetings, making it a little challenging to reach them with the needed sensitisation.  He also urged residents to engage in good sanitation practices, stating th...

Unidentified youth vandalise Electrochem facilities, seize equipment

An attack on the Ada Songhor Electrochem Ghana Limited in the Greater Accra Region by some unidentified individuals has left the company devastated, bringing its operations to a standstill. More than 350 unidentified youth allegedly stormed the warehouse, sites, and offices of the company in the early hours of Thursday, making away with pumps, motorbikes, car tires, finished salt products and vandalising trucks. The Ada Divisional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Atsu Dzineku, confirmed the incident to the Parliamentary Press Corps on Friday during a site visit.
