Volta Health Network brings free specialist care to Weta Hospital
Volta Health Network (VHN), a non‑profit coalition of health professionals from the Volta Region, has taken its annual medical outreach to the Ketu North Municipal Hospital in Weta, offering three days of free specialist services to residents.
The outreach, which began on Friday, July 11, provides screening, consultations and surgery for eye disorders, cardiac conditions, hernias, fibroids, cancers, and other chronic ailments.
VHN General Secretary Mr. Leonard Gobah, during press briefing on Saturday July 12 at the hospital said the initiative was launched in 2022 after clinicians from the region recognised that many local hospitals lack specialist personnel
