Morocco first to land in Kenya as excitement builds ahead of TotalEnergies CAF CHAN PAMOJA 2024 Kick-Off weekend
The TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 will kick-off in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday, 02 August 2025.
Two-time champions Morocco are the first team to arrive in Nairobi, Kenya.
Morocco stands out as one of the most successful countries in the competition, having won the tournament in back-to-back editions on home soil in 2018 and again in Cameroon in 2021.
They are one of only two nations to have won the title twice, the other being DR Congo, whom they will face in this year’s group stage.
The Atlas Lions are drawn in a tough Group A alongside hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo. They will kick off their campaign against Angola next Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
