African quartet to receive $9.55 million each for 2025 FIFA Club World Cup participation
FIFA has confirmed a participation fee of $ 9.55 million for each of the four African teams competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup (CWC).
The inaugural edition of the revamped FIFA CWC will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025.
The four African clubs participating in the tournament are Al Ahly of Egypt, Esperance of Tunisia, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, and Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
These teams will each receive the same amount as the clubs from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
This generous payout is part of the USD 1 billion prize pool set for the tournament’s first edition, which will feature 32 clubs.
