Public advised to avoid lifestyle diseases
Dr Malcolm Mambuoraa Dery, a Medical Doctor at Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), has advised the public to avoid lifestyle diseases, which are primarily based on daily habits.
He advised the citizenry to control their daily habits and lifestyles to prevent multiple medical issues such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, mellitus, stroke, heart related diseases and certain forms of cancers.
Dr Dery, who is also a Neurosurgeon at TTH, was speaking during an awareness creation on health at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Tamale.
The event was to educate the church and community members on the importance of preventing lifestyle diseases.
