Quarry works good, but no ready market – Stone entrepreneurs
Stone quarry workers in Kadjebi, located in the Oti Region of Ghana, have expressed their satisfaction with their work but highlighted significant challenges related to market access and inadequate tools.
During an interview with the GNA, Ms. Abena Mensah, who has been in the stone quarrying business for four years and Ms. Akorfa Anaglo, who has three years of experience, shared their experiences at the quarry site in Kasadjan, a suburb of Kadjebi.
One of the primary concerns raised by the workers is the difficulty in selling their produce, particularly during the rainy season.
They noted that buyers are often reluctant to purchase stone chippings during this time due to the challenges involved in transporting materials to construction sites.
