Gov’t to roll out national agro-industry policy to target private sector investment
The Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has announced plans to convene a stakeholder dialogue on July 24 to discuss the National Agro-Industry Policy, which aims to facilitate private sector investment in agro-processing.
According to the Trade Minister, the policy seeks to create an enabling environment for private sector growth in the agricultural sector.
Mrs. Ofosu-Adjare made the announcement on Tuesday on the Floor of Parliament when she responded to an urgent question by Mr Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Effutu.
