POJOBA Updates Arrangements for Vigil Mass Honouring Late Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Pope John Old Boys Association (POJOBA) has announced updated arrangements for a Vigil Mass in honour of the late Daasebre Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah. The event, which replaces the earlier announced Requiem Mass, will also honour the late Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala. Both men, who were devoted parishioners of Christ the King Parish in Accra, will be celebrated in a joint service organised in collaboration with their families. POJOBA to Hold Requiem Mass for Late Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah

The National Executive Council of the Pope John Old Boys Association (POJOBA) has announced a Requiem Mass in honour of the late Daasebre Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, former Minister for Defence, whose sudden passing has left the POJOBA and POJOSS fraternity in deep sorrow. The solemn service will be held on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, at 6:00 pm concurrently at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra and Pope John Senior High School (POJOSS) in Koforidua. Attendees are encouraged to wear black or any POJOBA/POJOSS-branded attire. According to the programme, the evening will begin with a candlelight procession at 6:00 pm, followed by tributes and Mass at 6:30 pm. POJOBA Mourns the Tragic Loss of Hon. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah in Helicopter Crash

The Pope John Old Boys Association (POJOBA) has expressed profound sorrow over the sudden demise of one of its most distinguished members, Daasebre Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash earlier today. Dr. Omane Boamah, a member of the 1994/96 year group of Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary in Koforidua, was serving as Ghana’s Minister for Defence at the time of the accident. His death, along with other high-profile officials, has sent shockwaves throughout the country.
