Eastern Regional Police Command Announces Comprehensive Security Measures for 2025 Odwira Festival in Akropong
The Eastern Regional Police Command has announced extensive security arrangements to ensure peace, safety, and order throughout this year’s Odwira Festival celebrations in Akropong, organized by the Chiefs and people of Akwapim.
In a statement signed by Superintendent Ebenezer Tetteh, Head of Public Affairs for the Eastern Region, the Command assured the general public, particularly those travelling from across the country to participate in the festivities, that adequate security will be provided before, during, and after the festival.
This year’s Odwira Festival commenced on Monday, October 20, 2025, and will climax on Friday, October 24, 2025, with a grand durbar of Chiefs and other commemorative activities.
