The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the establishment of a dedicated Help Desk at the National Service Secretariat (NSS) Head Office, located at Airport, Accra, to assist prospective National Service Personnel (NSP) encountering challenges with Ghana Card verification on the registration portal. According to the NIA, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process for all eligible service personnel. The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that it will from Monday, October 6, 2025, begin issuing and distributing Ghana Cards to Ghanaian children aged between six (6) and fourteen (14) who have already completed their registration. According to a statement issued by the Authority and signed by Mr. Williams Ampomah E. Darlas, Head of the Corporate Affairs Directorate, the exercise will take place at designated registration points — specifically, the schools where the children were originally registered. This initiative, according to the NIA, forms part of its legal mandate to ensure every Ghanaian, both at home and abroad, is issued with a secure and verifiable national identity.
