Ketu North MP Eric Agbana has expressed concern over poor BECE performance in the constituency and appealed to parents to support efforts aimed at improving educational outcomes. Some 1,000 seamstresses and hairdressers in the northern part of Ellembelle in the Western Region have taken delivery of sewing machines and hair- dryers from the Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, as start-up kits. They also received seed capital as part of the second trench of donations to young women, totaling 5000, who had completed an apprenticeship training programme. Mr Buah made the donation at Nkroful during the NkrumaFestcelebrtion and also at the commissioning of an ultra-modern Community-Based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound at Santaso in the Aiyinasi-North District.
