The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection through the Department of Children would be commemorating the 2025 World Children’s Day, with the launch of the Revised Early Childhood and Development Policy. The celebration on the theme: “My Day My Right: Investing in Early Childhood, a National Priority,” would highlight the crucial role of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in promoting holistic growth, protection, and lifelong learning for children aged 0-8 years. The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) has urged tertiary institutions to create safer, more inclusive environments to prevent harassment and gender-based violence (GBV). “Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive tertiary institution is not the responsibility of one Ministry or organisation, but it requires collective ownership, commitment, and action from us all,” said Mrs Ernestina Oduro, Senior Programme Officer at MGCSP. “Together we can build an environment where every student can thrive, free from fear, intimidation or harassment,” she said.
