OSP cautions public officials to refrain from commenting on alleged corruption investigations
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has cautioned public officers to refrain from interfering whether directly or through unfounded public statements of the ongoing investigations regarding Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, a former Minister for Finance. The Office said while the OSP welcomed criticism of its work, such actions had the potential to undermine the fight against corruption.The OSP made a notice concerning a recent comment made by Dr Ransford Gyampo, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.The Office said Dr Gyampo comments suggested that the OSP's investigation of suspect Mr Ofori-Atta was borne out of a personal vendetta.
