Police Intercept over GH¢1Million in cash in a commercial vehicle at Juapong
In a significant security operation, the Regional Police Command on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, intercepted a Ford Transit bus carrying a large sum of Ghanaian currency at a snap checkpoint in Juapong. The operation, which took place around 4:45 p.m., followed a tip-off received by the police.
According to police sources, the vehicle was found to be transporting sixty-eight (68) fertilizer bags filled with one cedi notes and coins, amounting to a total of One Million, Twenty-One Thousand, and Seven Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,021,700). The bus was reportedly en route from Ho in the Volta Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
