A total of 500 customised exercise books have been handed over to pupils of Wlitey RC Primary School in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region. The gesture, from Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister and former District Chief Executive for Akatsi North, was presented by Mr Daniel Dagba, the MCE for Akatsi South on behalf of Mr Gunu. Mr Dagba explained that Mr Gunu’s donation would motivate the pupils to thrive in academic excellence. He entreated them to behave well both at home and during school hours. Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, has commended the outgoing Volta Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Andrews Boadu-Ekumah for exhibiting high level of professionalism during his tenure. He said the Commander served the region beyond measure with dedication and integrity, and never sacrificed professionalism for materials things nor showed any political colour in the discharge of his duties.
