Four Arrested with 315 Parcels of Suspected Indian Hemp in Tema

Police in Tema have arrested four suspects after discovering 315 compressed parcels of substances believed to be Indian hemp concealed in a truck. The operation, carried out by officers of the Tema Community 1 District Police on Monday, September 8, 2025, followed a tip-off about suspicious activity at the Community 1 Industrial Area. The suspects, identified as Nura Sali (44), Pius Chukwuma (49), Mustapha Umar (18), and Abdulai Amayau (23), were found transporting the suspected narcotics in a truck with registration number GN 7291-16. Police Arrest Two in Central Region With 519 Parcels of Suspected Indian Hemp

The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two men at Gomoa Nyanyano for allegedly possessing 519 compressed parcels of substances suspected to be Indian hemp. The suspects, identified as Eric Nkyeke, 30, and Francis Klu, 28, were apprehended around 7:40 a.m. by a Nyanyano District Police patrol team while reportedly offloading the parcels from a Toyota Hilux pick-up truck with registration number GS-6849-21. Two Arrested for Possession of Suspected Indian Hemp in Eastern Region

The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals, Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams, for possessing a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp. The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation in Antokrom, Eastern Region. A search of Hawa Ibrahim’s residence uncovered 24 maxi bags containing 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances believed to be Indian hemp. Both suspects are currently in custody and assisting police with investigations. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects will be processed through the legal system.
