Government’s agriculture policies laudable, need commitment – Dr Nyaaba

Government urged to improve educational infrastructure for learning mathematics

Government has been urged to expand and upgrade educational infrastructure in the country to create conducive environment needed to facilitate the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels. Professor Ibrahim Yakubu Seini, Dean of the Department of Physical Sciences at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Nyankpala Campus, who made the call, proposed that teachers should be trained and encouraged to use activity-based learning to create fun while teaching mathematics in schools. The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has urged President John Dramani Mahama to ensure representation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in government appointments.  The inclusion of PWDs in government is a critical step in advancing Ghana’s commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), which Ghana ratified in 2012.  It also aligns with the principles of equality and non-discrimination enshrined in Ghana’s 1992 Constitution. Government must take bold step to restore peace in Bawku – Overlord of Kusaug

The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has condemned the government for knowingly supplying expired rice to feed students in senior high schools.
