Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area, has renovated an abandoned Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) building at the old Atebubu Water Works in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality. The refurbished facility will now serve as the permanent office of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) in the Bono East Region. Mr. Michael Osei, General Manager of the Atebubu Stool Lands Secretariat, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the building had been re-allocated and documented as the official GIS office. The Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), has successfully restored water supply to Ho and its environs, bringing the much-needed relief after more than a month of water shortages. The water began flowing from household taps in parts of Ho, early on Sunday, February 9, 2025, following extensive repairs on the faulty pump at the Kpeve Headworks. During the outage, many residents struggled to secure water. Mr Ebenezer Wornyo, a resident of Lokoe, told the Ghana News Agency that he woke up early, filled all his storage containers, and prayed that the pump would remain unharmed.
