Over 2000 farmers receive support to boost crop production in Lambussie

Minority Caucus demands deserving, fair cocoa producer price for farmers

COCOBOD sensitises farmers on producer price for 2025/26 cocoa season

Over 900 farmers in Tano North screen for various health condition  

More than 900 farmers in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region have been screened for various health conditions.  The free health screening, conducted by the organisers of the Nightingale Prestigious Awards (NPA) scheme was spearheaded by Miss Freda Asante Asuama, the 2024 overall best winner of the Awards.  Ms Asuama is a public health nurse and midwife at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital in the Bono Region also distributed1000 exercise books, sanitary pads and other educational materials to some selected basic and Senior High Schools in the area.  The beneficiaries of the exercise, held at Koforidua, were mostly women farmers, chiefs and queens as well as students and pupils from the various cocoa growing communities in the Municipality.  They were drawn...

100 farmers receive support from Assin Odumasi Restoration Centre 

The Assin Odumasi Restoration, Child and Youth Development Center has presented different vegetable seedlings to about 100 farmers in the area to increase their yields and improve on their livelihoods.   Mr Iftikhar Ahmed Fenyi, Project Director of the Center which is into child advocacy in the Assin South District (ASD) of the Central Region, said the gesture was to equip farmers to plant, harvest, sell and save money to support their families.  The seeds include tomatoes, green pepper, chilli pepper, cucumber, cabbage and many more estimated at GH¢50,000.00.  According to Mr Fenyi, his organisation was committed to helping the farmers to alleviate poverty, be self-sufficient and help achieve food security in the district through access to quality seeds.  H...
