President Mahama Appoints Acting Ministers for Defence and Environment Portfolios Following Tragic Loss

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed two senior government officials to assume additional ministerial responsibilities following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Ghana’s Minister for Defence and Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology. Armah Kofi Buah and 3others approved despite Minority’s initial objection 

Parliament has approved Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, along with three other ministers-nominees. The others are Tiah Ibrahim, North East Regional Minister-designate, Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister-designate, and Akamugri Atanga Donatus, Upper East Regional Minister-designate. However, Mr. Armah Kofi Buah's approval came despite initial opposition from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
