Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed agreement and contracts to expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network across Dubai, as part of its EV Green Charger initiative, launched in 2014. The Government has hinted of plans to ensure import duty exemptions for individuals and entities that import electronic vehicles (E-Vs) into the country, as part of the roadmap towards the roll-out of the National Electronic Vehicle Policy framework.
