Central Tongu DCE engages Agriculture Department on strategies to strengthen sector growth
Mr. Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Central Tongu, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the growth of the agricultural sector during a working engagement with staff of the Department of Agriculture at the Assembly.
Describing agriculture as the backbone of the district’s economy and a critical pillar of national development, Mr. Mornyuie noted that Central Tongu continued to lead the Volta Region in rice production and ranked among the top three districts nationwide in livestock capacity.
“This engagement was both insightful and forward-looking,” the DCE stated. “We explored practical strategies to enhance productivity, improve farmer support systems, and maximize the potential of our fertile lands and industrious farming communities....
