Police Arrest Two in Central Region With 519 Parcels of Suspected Indian Hemp
The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two men at Gomoa Nyanyano for allegedly possessing 519 compressed parcels of substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The suspects, identified as Eric Nkyeke, 30, and Francis Klu, 28, were apprehended around 7:40 a.m. by a Nyanyano District Police patrol team while reportedly offloading the parcels from a Toyota Hilux pick-up truck with registration number GS-6849-21.
Police say the vehicle, along with the suspected contraband, has been impounded as part of ongoing investigations. Both suspects are currently in custody assisting the authorities.
