Mahama Inspects New Cardiology Centre at Tamale Teaching Hospital
John Dramani Mahama has inspected ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art cardiology centre at Tamale Teaching Hospital as part of his Resetting Ghana Tour of the Northern Region.
The facility, being developed under the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, is expected to significantly boost specialised healthcare services in the country, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Once completed, the cardiology centre will help reduce the need for patients in the Northern Region and surrounding areas to travel long distances in search of advanced cardiac care. Health experts have long cited limited access to specialised treatment facilities as a major challenge contributing to poor health outcomes in rural and underserved communities.
