Ghana, others qualified for CAF African Schools Football Championship girls final

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the qualified teams for the final tournament of the African Schools Football Championship (Girls), set to take place at the University of Ghana sports stadium from April 21-26, 2025. Eight teams from across the continent will compete for the coveted title: They are, Ghana, Morocco, Malawi, DR Congo, Uganda, The Gambia, South Africa and Benin. These teams have emerged from a series of qualifying rounds and are set to participate in the final phase of the tournament in Ghana. The tournament also seeks to encourage participation in football among young girls and promote the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Ghana to host CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has confirmed Ghana as hosts of the CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025 which is set to take place from 21 – 26 April 2025. The Continental Finals will be played at the University of Ghana’s Legon Sports Stadium in Accra. This marks the first time the tournament’s continental finals will be held in West Africa, following previous editions in Southern Africa (South Africa 2023) and East Africa (Tanzania 2024). The CAF African Schools Football Championship was launched by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe in April 2022 in Maputo Mozambique.
