Brisbane 2032 moves forward as it draws inspiration for a transformative Olympic and Paralympic Games vision

The Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Brisbane 2032 today added a public survey to its extensive consultation process to create an inspiring vision as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission concluded its first onsite meeting, the third in all since its creation. Interviews and workshops with some 1,000 stakeholders directly connected to the Games, including athletes, the sports movement and delivery partners, have already been taking place for a few weeks. Members of the Coordination Commission also contributed their insights in a dedicated session during the meetings. Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski appointed Chair of Coordination Commission for Brisbane 2032

International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) member Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski has been appointed as the new Chair of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Olympic Games Brisbane 2032. The appointment was made by IOC President Thomas Bach following a request from President-Elect Kirsty Coventry, who stepped down from the role after her election as IOC President. A former equestrian athlete who represented the Philippines internationally, Jaworski has been a member of the IOC EB since 2020. She has strong connections with Australia, having trained and competed in the country, including in Brisbane, for her entire career.
