Atuabo Gas Processing Plant to Undergo Scheduled Maintenance from August 16–30
The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced the approval of a request by the Ghana National Gas Company Ltd. (Ghana Gas) to undertake a scheduled maintenance shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant from August 16 to August 30, 2025.
According to a statement signed by Richmond Rockson, Esq., Spokesperson and Head of Communication at the Ministry, the temporary shutdown is a key step in ensuring the continued safe and reliable operation of the facility.
During the two-week period, Ghana Gas will suspend gas supply to allow for critical maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades to essential equipment and systems. The Ministry noted that these measures aim to enhance the plant’s operational efficiency and overall performance.
