Seven Arrested for Armed Robbery at Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested seven suspects, including two juveniles, in connection with a violent robbery incident that occurred at Ashaiman Sakaska Park and Dagomba Junction in the Greater Accra Region. According to police reports, the suspects, a group of young men, attacked several victims at night using a weapon. They made away with multiple personal items including an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Samsung A03 Core, an Infinix Hot 40i, a power bank, and a backpack containing a Dell laptop and its charger, along with an undisclosed amount of cash. Following swift response by officers and assistance from members of the public, the Police were able to arrest two of the suspects on the scene. Two Suspects Arrested for Robbing Businessman in Ashaiman

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of a businessman at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region on February 26, 2025. One of the suspects, Karim Fatao, was arrested on the same day of the incident, while the second suspect, Wonder Babanawo, who had been on the police wanted list for multiple robberies in Ashaiman and parts of Tema, was apprehended on March 29, 2025. A search conducted on the suspects led to the retrieval of a Ruger pistol loaded with fifteen rounds of ammunition, thirty mobile phone covers, six SIM cards, a quantity of dried plant material suspected to be Indian hemp, one Samsung tablet, and three copies of land indenture. Some Ashaiman youth underscore maintaining healthy beards

Electric buses will be piloted on Adentan-Accra and Ashaiman-Accra routes – Bawumia

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned the first batch of electric buses to enhance public transportation in the country. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says, the introduction of the electric buses is expected to reduce transport fares by 40 to 50 percent. One hundred of the electric buses were commissioned on November 27.  More than one hundred head potters, popularly called ‘ kayakyei,” have been trained to manage the electric buses.
