ECG Clarifies Disconnection of Believers Worship Centre Over GH¢308,741.16 Debt
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has explained the circumstances surrounding the recent disconnection of power supply to the Believers Worship Centre, led by Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah.
According to ECG, the church’s electricity supply was cut off on August 26, 2025, due to an accumulated outstanding bill of GH¢308,741.16. The company stressed that the action formed part of its standard operational procedures and was not intended to single out or inconvenience the church.
Following the disconnection, ECG’s Regional General Manager met with the church leadership to address their grievances. The Believers Worship Centre questioned the accuracy of their bills, citing their recent investment in solar energy.
