NPP Condemns Alleged State-Sponsored Intimidation, Demands End to Political Persecution
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a scathing statement condemning what it describes as “state-sponsored persecution” of its members by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government. According to the NPP, recent actions taken by state security operatives amount to politically motivated intimidation and represent a grave threat to Ghana’s democratic institutions.
In a press release signed by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party cited two high-profile incidents as evidence of an orchestrated campaign to harass and silence dissenting voices.
