President John Dramani Mahama has officially nominated his final batch of Deputy Ministers, in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana. The list has been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval.
The latest nominations feature prominent Members of Parliament and public figures tapped to support various ministries in the administration’s second term. The nominees are as follows:
- Dorcas Toffey, MP – Ministry of Transport
- James G. Quayson, MP – Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP – Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
- Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP – Ministry of Health
- Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP – Ministry of Health
Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a familiar face in government communications and a former Deputy Minister, also currently serves as the Government Communications Spokesperson to the President.

These appointments mark the final phase of President Mahama’s Deputy Ministerial selections as he moves to consolidate his team to advance the government’s development agenda.
Parliament is expected to vet and approve the nominees in the coming days.
