Police interdict officers caught in alleged bribery video

The Bono Regional Police Command has interdicted some of its officers after a video circulating on social media allegedly showed them taking money from motorists.

According to a statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, the Public Relations Officer for the Command, the officers involved have been identified and immediately interdicted to pave the way for a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident.

The Command described the development as a matter of serious concern and emphasized its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability among police personnel.

“The Bono Regional Police Command assures the public of its dedication to upholding discipline and ensuring that any officer found culpable faces the appropriate sanctions,” the statement added.

The Command further appealed to the public to continue supporting the Ghana Police Service in its efforts to promote integrity and public trust within the service.
