The Ghana Police Service has taken swift disciplinary action after a viral video surfaced showing an officer assaulting a reporter during the ongoing election duty at Ablekuma North.
According to a press release dated July 11, 2025, the officer involved has been interdicted and withdrawn from his post. The case has been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for investigation.
The Police assured the public of a thorough probe into the matter, emphasizing their commitment to accountability and professionalism.
