Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, the Chief of Kade and occupant of the Aduana I Stool, has officially announced his abdication after twenty-one years of service to the Kade Traditional Area and Okyeman.
Enstooled in April 2004, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II’s reign was marked by both progress and challenges. In a statement issued from Kade, he expressed profound gratitude to the Aduana family and the people of Kade for the trust and confidence they placed in him throughout his tenure.
“My tumultuous reign is well known and I thank God I survived it all,” he stated. “I have decided to abdicate the stool after twenty-one years of being its occupant with the singular purpose that those who actively undermined my reign can now come together and seek the development and prosperity of Kademan and Okyeman.”

The revered chief reflected on his stewardship with humility, noting that while he preferred not to highlight the specific developmental achievements under his leadership, he remained thankful for the opportunity to have served his people.
Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II also called for unity and renewed dedication to development among the people of Kade and the larger Okyeman Traditional Area.
He concluded his statement with words of appreciation: “I extend my gratitude to the Aduana family who reposed such confidence and trust in me to sit in the place of my illustrious ancestors and lead the Kade people. May the good Lord continue to bless us all.”
The abdication marks the end of an era in Kade’s chieftaincy history, setting the stage for the selection and enstoolment of a new leader to continue the developmental aspirations of the traditional area.
