One person is feared dead with several others injured after an Ayalolo bus ran over some traders at the COCOBOD area, in the Central Business District of Accra, on Monday.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 1530 hours.
Nii Okine Aryee, an eyewitness, told the Ghana News Agency, that the accident occurred when the bus, with registered number: GT 5493–17, allegedly lost control.

In the process, he said, the bus went over the pavement where many traders were still busily trading.
Mr. Aryee said the bus also hit two other vehicles – a sprinter bus with registration number GR 2238–X and a double cabin pick up with registration number: GW 2377–Y, causing damage to them.
“The break of the bus failed forcing it to veer off the road towards the traders on the pavement. There was a woman who I think was selling pawpaw, who died in the process,” he claimed.
“Others sustained severe injuries to their arms and were taken to the Police clinic just at the Regional Police Command,” he added.
