Okwawu United FC, one of Ghana’s most prestigious football clubs, has taken a significant step toward commemorating its 50th anniversary by establishing a special road map committee. The committee will be responsible for planning and coordinating events marking the club’s golden jubilee.
According to a statement from the club’s management, the committee is composed of esteemed figures from Okwawu United’s past and present leadership, all of whom have vast experience in football administration. Their mandate is to engage all stakeholders and oversee the seamless execution of activities celebrating the club’s rich history and achievements.
The committee members include:

• Mr Oduro Nyarko (Former Club Secretary)
• Mr Daniel Kwame Dankwah (General Manager)
• Mr Kingsley Adofo Addo (Former Board Member)
• Mr Prince Asare Amoako (Club Secretary)
Additionally, key advisors have been appointed to guide the committee, including:
• Nana Abrah Appiah (Krontihene of Mpraeso and Former Club Director)
• Mr Henry Larbi (Representative for the Club President)
• Mr Emmanuel Akoto Bamfo (Club Executive)
Management expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to develop a comprehensive plan that will ensure a fitting celebration of the club’s legacy.
“Asaase Aban! Yenti Gyae“ the club’s rallying cry will undoubtedly echo throughout the anniversary festivities, as Okwawu United FC prepares to honor five decades of football excellence.
