Mr. Osman Ayariga, Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), has sent a message of encouragement to students sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which begins on Wednesday, June 11, and runs through to June 18.
Mr. Ayariga praised the candidates for their dedication and resilience, describing the BECE as a critical milestone shaped by years of learning, discipline, and hard work and urged students to stay focused, manage their time effectively, and maintain honesty throughout the exam period.
“Let this exam not just be a test of what you know, but a springboard to the brighter opportunities ahead,” he said.

Reaffirming NYA’s belief in the power of education, Mr. Ayariga emphasised that it remains a key pillar for building a purposeful and impactful future.
He expressed optimism that this year’s candidates would perform exceptionally well and lead Ghana into a more promising future.
With over 500,000 junior high school students across the country writing their final basic education exams, the CEO encouraged them to embrace the moment and let their potential shine through.
“Believe in yourselves. You’ve come this far for a reason,” he added.
